AREA INSPECTOR'S ASSESSMENT

I am pleased to report that Community Wellbeing was not adversely affected during this particular reporting period as borne out by the foregoing statistics.

It is heartening that there was only one reported Youth Disorder call and no reported Vandalisms. I emphasise the point reported as I have repeatedly sought to advise the Community that the efficiency of our processes is dependent upon the prompt reporting of incidents and the provision of as much information as possible.

There was one reported Break-in to a dwelling house in the community where property was stolen. The crime currently remains undetected. A series of Thefts from various properties across the Community similarly remain undetected. The Community should be reassured that enquiries are continuing apace.

I would take the opportunity to remind the Community to be extremely circumspect with regard to the security of their houses, garages, outbuildings and motor vehicles. Kingswells continues to enjoy, dare I say it, a relatively crime free existence. I fear, on occasion, that an air of ambivalence prevails which the opportunist thief is all to ready to exploit. Please ensure that you focus on all aspects of security around your properties. If your suspicions are aroused with regard to persons or vehicles moving around Kingswells please take the opportunity to note as much information as you possibly can; every detail is crucial when trying to piece together the Intelligence puzzle.

I would encourage motorists to exercise a great deal of concentration and restraint whilst driving through Kingswells, be it on the by-pass or along the village streets. The pace of life nowadays seems to demand that everyone needs to be somewhere long before they actually get out of second gear. Constable Geddes, upon his return from Leave, will be proactive with the speed detection equipment.

Can I please remind you to exploit all possible lines of communication to get your message through to us.
