The residents of the streets around Fairley Road are currently being asked for views on a proposed 20 mph limit around Fairley Road. The manditary speed limit will be enforced using 'speed bumps'. As Fairley Road is a key access point to and from Kingswells the views of all residents are important.
To allow KCC to represent your views please use this poll as part of the feedback. Your views can be added to the POLL and passed to Peter
In addition it is important to express your views to Peter Stephen, Aberdeen City Council, Town House, Aberdeen
The letter sent to some residents is attached below.
TO:- All Residents in Fairly Road Area Kingswells

Residents over the years have asked me to make Fairley Road safer.
I arranged for 20mph (green) markings to be placed there about two years ago. Some drivers ignore them.
Matters have now moved on and 20mph (red) mandatory markings can now be substituted - together with associated speed cushions.
The area involved is Farley Road/Edmond Gardens/Lang Stracht (old section).
This matter will be taken to Committee in August and the recommendation is to approve these measures. I am notifying you now so that should you wish to object to these measures, you should write to be in early course stating your reasons - otherwise I will assume you are satisfied
