Area Inspector's Observations

As can be seen from the figures presented this has been a relatively quiet reporting period. There were only 3 reported Firework calls and I would like to think that much of the credit for the few numbers reported is largely down to the dedicated patrols that were mounted across the Community.

There have been 4 reported instances of garages being violated. These matters are still the subject of ongoing enquiries. I would encourage the Community to ensure that they remain vigilant as regards the security of their properties and report every instance of suspicious activity at the earliest opportunity.

I would urge the Community Council to work with me and the Partner Agencies to ensure that whilst the Gypsy / Travellers remain in our Community that, as difficult as it may be on occasion, a degree of tolerance is exercised by all. The Partner Agencies will ensure, as far as is reasonably practicable, that we address the Community's concerns and complaints within the statutory parameters by which we are bound. I would encourage the Community to remain objective and refrain from conduct be it verbal or otherwise that could be construed or perceived to be racist or inflammatory.
