Police .
Reg emailed report. There were no recent problems with young residents.
David Steele (ACC) has been appointed to progress youth provision for Kingswells.
Parking is still a problem. Reg and wardens keeping an eye on this. |

Alistair Gibb gave a very comprehensive talk about problems on the Lang Stracht i.e. Cars, Buses and the speed reduction needed. Kingswells Community Council gave support on the issues. Barrie to draft statement for February ACC meeting.
Reg will research police and ACC responsibilities for traffic management |

Planning.
- Barrie thanked all for the hard work with development plans. Next stage Aberdeen City Council February 2010.
- ACC Planning Committee approved the Chemist’s move. Barrie advised that the chemist is willing to work with KCC on some of the points raised by KCC’s comments on the planning application.
- John is to contact the planning officer re the proposal to convert a farm steading into 3 homes.

Accounts
Current balance was approx £600 plus £400 to come from ACC for community festive event .
There was an agreement to set aside any spare funds for the “welcome to Kingswells” signs. |

- Everything ready for the Carol Concert, Barrie to give welcome speech, Colleen to give thanks. Donations to Anchor Unit. Set up hall 6pm
- Kingswells Transport. No. 14 bus removed from February 2010, therefore no access to Queens’s road for the village. Children to be affected going and coming from school. KCC to intimate disapproval of this service to ACC/ Councillors/ Firstbus and MSP’s
- Cults /Kingswells Road traffic meeting Barrie previously sent report by email.
- Colleen attended meeting about Community newsletters and all have similar problems. Training to be made available.
- Suggestion of a Burns Supper for 2011 Stan to find sponsors.
- Claire Burt (“Kingswells.com “) has approached KCC with an offer of £1000 to sponsor future Christmas lights for lampposts but we must match this sum. Due to no funding from ACC next year we cannot commit to this project. However, Claire to be asked to sponsor Drystone Dykes around ”welcome to Kingswells” signs. We would acknowledge contribution in Kingswells Community News. ..
- Minute Secretary had asked advice about last minutes however, was not happy with response suggestions. KCC advised that when time permitted, minutes were circulated to all members internally so that minutes could be agreed prior to the meeting where they could be issued to the public.
- The two newest members requested clarification on a number of points.
- New members should feel free to ask for further information where necessary to help to bring them up to speed.
- One new member felt ‘excluded’ from correspondences. It was explained that generally all emails go to all members except where a topic is assigned to a member or sub-committee only the final outcome would be emailed to all.
- KCC procedure for issuing correspondence – clarification of procedures and email addresses. All correspondence to external bodies which express a KCC view should be circulated around KCC members, as a draft, prior to sending
- All correspondence which expresses a personal view should not have KCC in the correspondence to prevent confusion
- Code of Conduct should be followed during all KCC business.
- Stan to chase some litter initiative payments.
- There is an issue with rubbish at the Nursery and Stan is to speak to suggest the need to obtain more bins.
- John to inquire who owns land on Fairley road, i.e. Football pitch, and the burn.
