Working with Aberdeen City Council and Kingswells Community Council, Drum Property Group is now considering future office developments in Phases 2 and 3 as well as the make-up of the Community Hub proposed within the second phase.

“We will be replicating the elements of the highly successful Phase 1 community consultation exercise carried out in the summer of last year,” commented Drum Director Graeme Bone.

“A questionnaire seeking preliminary views on the proposals will be available at http://www.primefour.co.uk from 1 February and residents are encouraged to let us have their views”

Free internet access is available at the City’s public libraries for those who might not have home access.

“The Community Hub was the subject of much discussion during last year’s consultation with suggestions as to what might be included ranging from small scale retail space to a hotel, restaurant and dental surgery,” said Mr Bone.

“We are particularly keen to hear local views on this part of our proposals as the Hub presents a real opportunity to enhance the range of facilities available to the residents of Kingswells.”

The online consultation will run until the end of March and is being supported by a community planning event being held at the Fourmile House on Wednesday, 22 February.

This event will include a number of interactive sessions where attendees can work with Drum’s design team to highlight likes and dislikes about the proposals.

More information about the event will be advertised on the KCC and Prime Four websites, The Citizen newspaper and on posters throughout the village during the next few weeks.

Following last year’s consultation exercise a Development Framework and Phase 1 Masterplan for Prime Four was submitted to Aberdeen City Council and adopted by them in September.

Detailed planning applications were subsequently submitted on behalf of three of the world’s leading energy corporations (Apache North Sea, Nexen Petroleum UK and Transocean Drilling UK) and Drum hope to make a site start later this year.
